Chapter IV: Fitday

How to track your food intake

Ok, so we've decided that it is important to track both your caloric intake as well as your carbohydrate intake. But isn't that a lot of work? Not if you have access to a computer it isn't. Hey... it's the information highway.

How about a way to not only track your calories and carbs, but also your fat, protein, sodium and any number of other things? No problem.

Fitday is a free online service that is easy to use and vital to your weight loss endeavours. If you can't find a food item in their vast library then you can simply add one in yourself using the nutritional label on the packaging.

Plan your meals folks. It will really help you to keep on track. Some can get away with merely entering your food after the fact but if you are one of the many who can let things get out of hand in a hurry, then enter your meals before you eat them. Knowing what you are going to be eating and when you will be eating it can really help to keep you online.

It is easy to get lazy with entering your foods. I cannot stress enough the importance of taking the time on a daily basis to enter your foods into fitday and then transfer that information into a daily journal.
